Loved your piece and agree 100%. Growth is the engine of unchecked capitalism, fueled by investor greed. If we could build a sustainable business that kept customers and employees happy and gave us a decent living, why isn't that enough? I did exactly that until I finally sold and retired. The pressure to grow grow grow is definitely not what we need right now. Or maybe not ever again.
