Sure, clickbait works. But just because the headline grabber is titilating doesn't mean the content is worth reading. There's so much viral junk out there that it threatens to smother the good stuff. Finding one's way through is a challenge, and I have to say that, although my numbers are way down, I believe quality is the most useful metric, and I'm grateful to the Medium platform for not making me plow through a ton of adorable headlines to get to the really good stuff. In all aspects of life, we should begin to value quality over quantity in all things. I'm thinking that quality writings that are fresh and current will bring more quality readers if we just hang in there! :D
