Thank you for writing about this obnoxious chemical. I've written about it to, in the context of shampoos. Many people are allergic to SLS-containing shampoos. The FDA is aware that this substance, originally ade for industrial degreasing, is "mildly toxic" to mammals, but we consume it by the megaton annually in all sorts of products.
