Thanks for this report! Much appreciated. One thought, though: most of my friends are not writers and not on Medium, and many were frustrated previously when limited to 3 or 4 free reads a month, because they couldn't access many of my articles. But that's OK. Good reads shouldn't necessarily be free. However, a writer wants to be read, right? I want my friends and family to read my stuff, and I don't care if they pay for the privilege or not. They will never subscribe to Medium or any of the other online sources. So, I believe Medium is being very generous to allow this practice. It might affect their overall bottom line (i.e., loss of potential subscribers), but it won't affect mine one cent.
