Wow! I haven't thought about the Y2K thing in about 25 years! I was part of a Defense Department team deployed to Korea to do a Y2K test with the Republic of Korea's Army and our Navy and Air Force. We set up the system (there's a command center under a mountain, similar to NORAD) to artificially roll the clock ahead with troops and equipment deployed in a wargame exercise just to see what, if anything, would happen. Kinda disappointing in a way that nothing DID happen, but it goes to show what kind of expense and effort the world was ready to put forth to make sure nothing did. And now, we have AI, who wants so much to please us that she will make stuff up. Which is more dangerous, I wonder?
